  • Which part of ''America''? The United States of America? If you mean the USA, and you are a UK citizen (i.e. you have a UK passport), then there's what's called a ''Visa Waiver Program''. That allows you to stay in the USA for a maximum of 90 days without a visa. There are certain conditions obviously. You can't work (you can do voluntary work), you can't study, and if you've ever done anything ''bad'' before they may not let you in, for example if you have a record dealing drugs, or if you've ever withheld child visitation from a US citizen. Obviously, most of these things don't apply to most people... but you should check before you go if you think you have some ''dark'' part of your past they might use to refuse you entry. You should check out this page: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html
  • THANKS! I'M STILL A LITTLE CONFUSED WHAT ABOUT THE PRICES OF A VISA?
  • If you are only going on holiday you'll be given an immigration card on the plane to complete. If you intend to work or stay longer than 90 days(?) I think you need a visa.
