The most amazing thing I have ever smelled was the aroma being given off by nut roaster making maple bourbon-roasted pecans at a Whole Foods market in South Carolina. I literally went weak in the knees when I smelled that.
Other favorites on my list include:
--Monterey Pine Christmas trees
--Freshly-baked Boudin's sourdough bread
--Bulgogi marinade (sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, onion, pepper)
--The slight chlorine smell of laundry washing with bleach
--Freshly sawed wood
--Cigar humidors (which is ironic because I dislike tobacco smoke)
--The chemical storage room in my 11th grade chemistry class (Yes, I know, I'm weird...;-D..)
