Good question. Unlucky that I was shot but luck that I survived because I enjoy life even when I'm very ill . . . which I'm getting used to.
-
life is precious no matter what you look like
-
Umm, I guess if I got shot at "point-blank range in the face with a shotgun" and survived....I should consider myself VERY VERY lucky.
-
And I would really whistle on a windy day.
-
Superficial scars are nothing to the internally scarred. It all depends on who did the shooting and how I'm treated.
-
Not really. Someone shot me at point blank range.
-
I can't find a way to consider getting blasted in the grille with a shotgun lucky, but that's just me.
-
Nothing lucky about being shot in the face.
-
No I am pretty sure I would not consider myself lucky.
-
I'd do what most people who are physically scarred for life do. Dress up as my favorite animal, move to Gotham City, and fight Batman!
-
That's a tough one. I love life, so I guess I'd feel lucky that I was alive. But I also have some vanity and don't know if I'd be strong enough to face the world after that, so I'd not feel lucky in that respect. Good question.
-
Very personal question. I've shot two people near point blank in the head with a shotgun (Army). Neither lived more than a moment. I would consider no one in any situation shooting or being shot (surviving or not) lucky in any way.
-
Yes and no. You're alive but no one would want to boink you.
-
Well, your lucky you survived, yes. But then your unlucky to have been shot in the first place.
-
Nope, you would be missing half your face
-
People only consider that lucky because the alternative is death. But if there's a heaven and that person could go to it, wouldn't THAT have been luckier? The BEST place ever?? I consider that scenario unlucky, especially if there's mental damage or something that makes my quality of life go down. Having tons of re-constructive surgery, having people stare at you and ask you about it 100 times a day, people assuming you're a monster because of your scars (the world really is like that). I would not want to go through that, as well as the pain of knowing that I almost died, and someone really really wanted me to die. That's a really rough thing to go though. No thanks.
-
Anything lucky about suffering horrible scrutiny for the rest of your life? Having people stare where ever you go, knowing in your mind that people are thinking, " What happened to his/her face?" No matter how good of a person you are inside, people are going to be disgusted with a face that only a mother could love.
-
Not while I have my sex drive. :(
-
Sure... It would have to be an improvement as I cannot look any worse!
-
A shotgun to the face can only mean one thing...Kurt Go-BANG!! :)
-
No. I'd either finish the job or try to cheer myself up by recreating the life of the Phantom of the Opera (minus killing people, of course).
-
In that case i don't see myself as unlucky or lucky. the only thing i think of is how unlucky the bastard that shot me is that i lived to hunt his ass down.
-
Hmmm...good question, we should ask Tristan Anderson, the peace activist who was shot in the face point blank with a tear gas canister by an Israeli soldier while taking pics of a building in Gaza on March 13. Oooops! Almost forgot, we can't ask him because they had to remove part of his brain and he'll be a vegetable for life... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/fighting-for-life-american-peace-activist-shot-by-israelis-1652604.html
-
I would only consider myself lucky if he missed!
-
Nope! and I would consider the Dr. that took it upon himself to save me an as$hole too.
-
depends, did this incident get me enough money (lawsuit) to start my life? because I do not consider myself lucky to be alive at present. lack of money has destroyed my quality of life and might end up costing me my wife's life.
