Probably some blizzard in the late 80's in W.NY.

a storm off the Pacific on a fishing pier. My friend and I were at the end of pier about 50 feet above the waves and they washed up and over the top of the pier. It scared the crap out of me and when we got back to the car part of the parking lot had collapsed into the ocean due to wave action.

I have driven to work during a low-level hurricane, a branch from a tree fell on my car but did no damage. I have also driven through more than a foot of snow and some very dangerous ice storms.
