You don't. They teach you who is boss. We have had a family of them living at our house. I am now mandated by them to leave peanuts out every morning. If I forget, they actually knock on the back door.

Ordinarily I would use my 24karat baffler, but it is in the shop. One way to do it (seriously) is to go squirrel fishing. Tie a peanut to y0our fishing line and cast it out in the yard... the squirrels will tug and tug on it, you just reel 'em in. Good times!
