  • Kids do get mad with each other and they hit each other all the time. This is something natural relax
  • That is retarded. Another case of the law going crazy! Kids, especially siblings fight. If it went too far then the girl should be counseled, not sent to jail. Shes fricken 11! arrest does nothing but prove that cops suck. DR me all you want, I don't care, that is how I feel.
  • Isn't that awful! You know that better then any of us. I just don't know what the hell has happened to family life with loving homes who teach, respect and love their kids. They run wild...doing everything that is so bad. It is very very sad.
  • Seriously...is that something that kids get arrested for? I hope she was assaulting him with a brick or something...That would make more sense than what I'm thinking.
  • WOw this sounds like that time two kindergartener's got arrested for playing cops and robbers, with their FINGERS!
  • It's the state of affairs of the entire planet 2 Timothy 3:1-7 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 For from these arise those men who slyly work their way into households and lead as their captives weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.
  • I sorry this had to happen to you. Your job is one of the worst in the country. No, I don't think it is a trend, because the number of times it happens is still very small. However, I do believe that the continuing failure of people to recognize the dangers of overpopulation will bring the whole world to a very sad state.
  • I'm sorry to say this but yes. I was a student-teacher in high school and Jr. high. I can tell you we are in very big trouble. Very Big.
  • I'm not sure what's shocked you, that an 11-year old girl struck her brother or that the police were called to deal with it. You didn't say how severely the girl beat on the poor kid, but if you arrested her, I'm going to assume it was pretty bad. There does seem to be something wrong in the culture. I can't put my finger on what it is, but it's pervasive. Based solely on my observations, I think that somehow we're teaching that we are not responsible for our own actions. If something bad happens to us or because of us, it isn't really our fault. If I push my kid sister down the stairs because she won't share her toy with me, it's not *my* fault. It's because she was being selfish. But it's not *her* fault she was being selfish--it's because we have lousy parents. No, it's not *their* fault that they've failed to discipline their children, it's all because of violent video games, or TV, or rap music, or humanism being taught in schools, or religious dogma being taught in schools. Then when we run up against the reality that *we* will be made to suffer because of the actions we chose, we complain that the system isn't fair--it's too brutal, it lacks compassion, it doesn't let us have enough second chances, it gives everyone else too many chances. We continue to fail to claim responsibility for our own choices. Okay, that wasn't at all where I meant to go with my answer! Is this our future? Maybe, but only if we fail to do something about it. Right now. No one of us can fix the entire system, but if enough of us make even a single, small, positive change, the aggregate effect could be enormous.
  • 8-20-2017 God help us! Now cops are arresting children for being childish!
  • If you see a trend in every incident you become aware of -- you will drive yourself crazy. As to your question --can't say. Certainly not enough evidence presented to forecast any type of future events. I also would be wary of saying that events that happen now have not happened before. Kind of reminds me of those that long for the "good old days," but then reminded of some that went on then -- they were not always all that great.
  • seems like it sometimes
