  • I don't consider those that eat fish and chicken as vegetarians. I do consider those that eat eggs and dairy as vegetarians, just not vegans.
  • People that eat fish and chicken, are not vegetarians. Vegetarians do not only eat veggies, there are tons of meat alternatives out there. Tofu products, Lentles, beans, rice, fruits, salads. When I was on my Vegan kick, I made Tacos one time with fake meat and they were really good even my boyfriend liked them.
  • It depends why they are vegetarians. There are many reasons to eat this way, one reason is for health. Not everyone who eats vegetarians is doing it for ethical animal reasons. In fact I think that most today do it for other reasons. We were vegetarians for a few years but still used dairy and ate fish because we did it for health reasons. I know many vegetarians that don't eat meat because of their stand about ethical treatment for animals but they eat fish as they don't feel it is a meat and doesn't have the issues of ethics involved. Some vegan friends won't eat regular cane sugar or honey. It's a person's choice how and why they choose these dietary lifestyles. One reason is not a fits all.
  • From what I understand a vegetarian will not eat anything with a face, therefore, no fish or chicken.
  • Only fish, not chicken
  • A vegetarian that eats nothing but vegetables would be quite the rarity! That probably wouldn't be much better for your body than only eating meat. There is no hypocrisy at all. You have a misunderstanding of what a vegetarian is. A vegetarian does not eat cows, pigs, chickens, or fish. Basically, they don't eat creatures. A person that eats fish is quite obviously not a vegetarian! They are called a pescetarian. I don't remember what a person that eats chicken is called, but there is a term for it. Ethically, it is so far below vegetarianism that I don't know why they would want to refer to themselves as a certain word.
  • Who cares? as long as this vegetarian isn't eating you it's not your problem
  • people who eat chicken are definitely not vegetarians. People who eat fish are called Pesce-Vegetarians but they are not considered real vegetarians by most people who are passionate about it.
  • Should they? I don't think there are any laws requiring that a person calling themselves vegetarian maintain a specific diet. Perhaps they are mislabeling themselves though.
