No, I haven't. I don't consider Ms. Winfrey a legitimate literary critic, although I'm sure she knows what she likes. I know what I like, and that's how I choose what to read.

If I watch anything about Oprah it is a segment on The Soup making fun of her. I do think she deserves a category on AB though. I just read instructions and menus these days, not books that some Millionare Princess endorses. She likes that wacko Dr. Phil

Amazingly I really enjoyed the Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck and realized it was an Oprah's choice and I enjoyed looking over the questions on her site, but I was reading it so my true answer would be no with reservations. :)

only once though. I went and bought seat of the soul by gary zukov after he came on opera and talked about it to her. Sometimes it helps when one person suggests and tells you pros and cons about it.

I have absolutely no respect for her, her show, and her manipulative ways. Her suggesting a book would more make me want to add it to my "Don't read" list. Nancy Pelosi's new book is the new #1 on that list, BTW.

Yes and no. I've found some really good books through that book club list, but it's because I'm an avid reader looking for a good read, not because Oprah recommended it.
