  • You need to look at at the keys, are they loose? Do they completely close when you hold down the finger pad? Are the felts worn? How's the cork? The mouthpiece? Are there dents? There are lots of things to look for. To rejuvenate a sax can cost up to a few hundred $$. Just like any other instrument, you want to buy a sax that will not be any more difficult to play than need be and you don't want to spend your money on junk. It's always a good idea to have a music shop have a look before purchase.
