  • Yes for the past 2 years....Do u?
  • Yes, I do and have for years. I'm lucky to have a husband who takes over the majority of the work making things Christmassy and fun :) I'm happy to do all the cooking and baking! How about you CG?
  • No, not anymore. Now I spend my Holiday Season surrounded by truly loving and loved people and it is a joyous time.
  • no. but, i feel down around valintines
  • Some but not nearly as bad as the January blues when the bills come in! hahaha
  • Not usually, but they are settling in for this year. How are you, cuttergirl?
  • Although Christmas can be a joyful and loving time to me, it is also a sad time for me. It is sad to me because I feel that Christmas in America is a spit in God's face because we as Americans hypocritically say "Merry Christmas" and say that we are celebrating the holiday(celebrating Christ's birth) yet, go and get drunk off of alchohol, have immoral sex, curse and take the Lord's Name in vain, etc. Also, the fact that many of us seem to use Christmas to escape reality. We will sing songs about Santa Claus and Reigndeer, we will go out and spend all kinds of money on presents in the crowded stores filled with the season's commercialism, and spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on Christmas lights and Christmas trees, while the poor and homeless are dying and people are commiting suicide. I could go on about more things, but yes, to make a long story short, I do get a bit down around Christmas time, while at the same time I am joyful and thank Jesus that He came to this world to save sinners like us, and thank God for His mercy towards us and towards our country, even as wicked as it is today. Thank you and may God bless you. :) -In Jesus' Name.
  • Since this is going to be my first Christmas with no form of celebration at all, I'm a little down. Just throw it on the pile with the rest of 'em, ya know?
  • nah, i don't do a damn thing for christmas and it doesn't bother me one bit. the only blues i deal with is the blues i create with my guitar.
  • I converted to islam so now I don't get the Christmas Blues at all. I used to get them very badly to the point that I couldn't function since I had no family to speak of, no friends since i had just moved and was spending the season alone. Since I converted however, there is no stress around Christmas and thus, no Blues.
  • yes, i actually hate christmas. you'd think being in a household with my very loving family with lots of delicious food would make anyone happy, but since my parents marriage fell apart it's been so downhill.my dad doesn't involve himself in our family get togethers anymore and i hate that because since i moved away from home we've had no real relationship. plus i believe christmas has truly become too materialized these days. it's all about spending everything you have on gifts and i'm a single mother so i feel bad because i can't send a lot on friends and family and i can't afford to buy gifts for everyone i would like to buy gifts for. when i was a kid i loved christmas because my parents were well off and i was an only child. i put a fake happy face on at christmas time but would rahter be at the mall or partying with friends. but when my son understands christmas i'll be truly happy again because christmas is for the kids
