Have you ever done something that you thought was note-worthy only to cringe at it years later?
(I once wrote a poem that I thought was amazing only to read it years later and wonder what the heck was I thinking.)

More than a few times, actually. There are things that I've looked back on with pride...but I think the ones that are cringe-worthy outweigh those by a long shot.

I write poetry and more recently when I looked through my older poems I thought most of them were really bad. I've got a few that I like but most of them seem really stupid. There's a poem titled "Friendship" that I wrote which is basically a love poem, though not quite intended to be that, and I gave it to the person I intended it for and found out they still had it 2 1/2 years later though I don't know how they read it.
