Help answer this question below.
Depends on what it is we're talking about. When it comes to human emotions, maybe a 9. When it comes to how to fix a car, how about a flat out 0? Not even worth a 1.
9.99? - naa say 10!
I agree with AnonymousGirl that my intelligence depends what I'm being judged upon... that being said if I am going to subject myself to being graded on a scale,
(and I'm assuming 1 is low, 10 is high...)
then I would estimate the average of my intelligence in various subjects to be about a 7.
While various tests I have taken would tell you I rank even higher, I tend to think there are certain things that can only be learned by experience. Also, there are many subjects that cannot be measured well in mere tests, only in actual practice. There are many forms of intelligence: academic, emotional, social, etc.
I tend to think I score very high on the academic scale and fairly high on the emotional scale, but probably below average on things of a social nature. Plus there are various subjects which really fall into none of those categories (creativity and artistic ability) which I feel cannot really be measured, but I would suspect I'm slightly above where the average person lies in those abilities.
1 no wait 10. How dose this scale work? I'm confused... 5?
100
More than a 10 ... I am a genuine Mensa certified genius ... I have 5 university science degrees, including a Ph.D. in math ... I speak six languages ... and I hold a 7th degree black belt ... and a whole lot of other qualifications and certificates ...
3.141592653589793 =)
(I know this straight from my head.)
Intellectual ability = 9.5 (My husband is a 10)
social ability = 2
1.
I will give myself an 8 because I am so humble.
Maybe if I was lucky it would reach a 2.............M.C.S.
9
To paraphrase Spinal Tap: mine goes to eleven.
Oh at least 3.5 for me
9
Percentile wise, according to bogus standardized tests, I would be a 9.3 to 9.9.
I'm sure those are poor indicators of intelligence, though.
37.125, I'd explain, but I doubt you'd understand. :)
5 or less :P
10 cuz i is soooo smat! :0
I'd say 8.5
I would be just as intelligent as I happen to be whether on the scale or not. These attempts at putting pigeonholes around people accomplish little that's helpful and often lead to mistaken views of others and their lives.
7. Apparently, I'm not smart enough to get rich, but smart enough to be the only one who knows whats going on at my job;)
Intelligence on every subject? A very low 3.
2 with 10 being the highest
uhhh... pi?
I'm a 5. I pretend to be a 6, but really, I'm a 5.
9, as long as higher numbers mean more intellectual ability
My intelligence was never tested. But I am intelligent enough to navigate AB nicely, write a book in a second language and live a life admired by many on a minimum budget.....
I would first go down from the scale to think about it...
;-)
Maybe a 4 or 5 at the most.
5. I'm right in the middle. :)
5
I think I am fairly intelligent, maybe 7
5, although I sometimes push a 7 when I'm having a really good day.
5 is never an option on the 1-10 scale right? If I'm wrong, a 1...if I'm correct, a 10.
Its always 10 for things of my interest, else expect the least, 0.
Thirty years ago, they said I scored a genius on the IQ test, the points were there. I felt that I was no genius then, and I am certainly not one now. But here, I will rate myself as a 2, so those on here will not have much room lower to ridicule me.
Since AB requires me to put at least 2 characters in a reply I am forced to say 10.
I will be conservative and say 7, although I do consider myself very perceptive.
0.5
- 18
I would say 8
Me thinky tat me intteligints iz a 10. I haz much smarts!
9 I'm really smart but not like genius smart just book and street
smart
That's why they give IQ tests, so we can't rate our own intelligence, because no one would have an answer that is remotely accurate. I happen to know that I'm smarter than the average bear.
I would say smart people never make a lot of money so i dont care if i'm not a 10 becos the smart people envent things for an empolyer to sell and the employer make the money so the smarter person isn't the guienous it the emplyer isn't it so on that basis
I'm a 10
8.5
5. Considering how many things I've messed up in my life, my IQ can't be as high as 'they' say it is.
8
10
Can you get some idea of a person's intelligence based on their Q&A's and comments on AB?

Do you think the IQ test is an accurate measurement of intelligence, or is intelligence more complicated than that? What is intelligence?

You're reading On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your intelligence
- which can also be phrased in the following ways:

Fixing a car doesn't require that much intelligence (well, nowadays it does because they are rolling computer networks). I could teach you pretty much all you need to know about cars in a few months.
The physical principles on which cars operate are actually quite straightforward. The actual work is just removing (and reinstalling) nuts and bolts, which is akin to taking apart and putting back together a jigsaw puzzle.
