If you can access the room through a crawl space or attic you can do it. But you will need a professional electrician to run the wiring. The electrician can do the tricky part. After installing a receptical that you wire your lighting into, you'll be ready to add whatever lighting you want. If you don't use a qualified electrician, you could have problems down the line. Like fire, or if you decided to sell your house if you didn't have a permit if that is required. Your local hardware store can be very helpful as well as your local library.
