One of my stays was in a hospital that not only had a nice view, but also had choices like steak and wine on the menu - depending on your condition, of course. So that hospital's food was quite nice, I must say. :o)
Only when I am eating it off of someone else tray - as a visitor...lol
My mother worked as a cook in a hospital when I was young, that is until she became a cook in a school lunch room (true story) Hospital food and school lunch food is what I think of as home cooking..
I've never had any "good" hospital food before, so...no.
I work in a hospital and i love the stuff, i have a cooked breakfast every shift and when i finish i'll squeeze in dinner, i'll even eat the spare dinners left where patients have gone but still ordered just in case, just call me the human hoover when it comes to hospital food ;)
Love it,Everything tastes nicer when you dont cook it yourself :)
i ate hospital food in '74.
my sister was in hospital and everyday i would take food for her. she used to give me the hospital food to take home.i must say i did enjoyed it.i didn't know to cook back then,so any food was a treat for me.
It's not that I don't like the food, the smell of hospital food and the atmosphere makes it seem like it tastes bad.
better than my dads cooking but yes, after a appointment close to the hospital i raid the cafeteria.
Actually, yes :)
I like hospital beds more though....
Sorry. Rubbish Cold War Kids reference :)
I have been to a hospital that has had Great food... And I have been to a hospital that has had Nasty food... So it depends...
no!
no I was in the hospital in July. My freinds would bring me food, they saved my life.
Umm no
No. I had a friend who used to volunteer in the hospital kitchens. I've heard what happens to that "food".
I have had some hospital food that was quite good and some that would gag a maggot.
No.My family will bring me food.
No way!!!!!!!!! mostly mush kind of food..lol
ewwww nooooooo its all mush lol
After three months of the same crappie NHS food I was actually suicidal, I went on a hunger strike until they let me bring my own stuff in, well not me precisely, but my friend... it tastes of processed vomit, it was horrid, I’m never going back to hospital.
The hospital I used to receive treatment in had the worst food ever, the smell made me gag... even the staff hated serving it because it was so disgusting.
But, they had a cafe (well, they had several cafes) downstairs that sold the most amazing jacket potatoes and hot chocolate, so as long as I had someone to get it for me and money to pay for it, it was great.
I feel sorry for the people who don't have the money or people to get better food though. The thought of relying on NHS food for nutrition sends shivers down my spine.
Hell No...it tastes Disgusting
I have been in some hospitals where the food is brilliant.
On average it is not great.
No...but I guess the fact that if you're eating it, you're in the hospital sick, so that doesn't help add to the experience.
Nice time to take up anorexia.
No it's disgusting. I was in the hospital a year ago and after ordering chili that ended up having a two flies in it i stayed off it and ate fast food for the rest of my stay.
You know, some of it can be ok, but generally no I don't like it.
I love the grub served up at the hospital i work in :)
Is that a threat? LOL! :-)
Are you kidding. I stab myself near fatally every week just to get some. Love that Jell-o and soup that tastes just enough like mouldy socks to make you want to throw up.
Never been a inpatient in a hospital, but I heard many horror stories about it.
My 2 cents.
The food in the cafeteria, of the local Hospital, is not bad! I've never been a Hospital resident though. Ever ... anywhere.
Its not as bad as some people say it is, but it isnt great.
NO!!!!!!!!!
ewww, no! of the handful of times I've been in the hospital, I can't say that anything I had tasted very good. in fact, it had very little taste at all!
mums there now and it doesn't look remotely appertising!
Compared to years past, hospital food has improved a lot...a LOT! [Of course, I can recall the day when a hospital room cost $19 per day...n' ya ain't gonna get surf and turf on that! :-)]
It reminds me of public school food. Luckily I have never been hospitalized, knock on wood.
No. They make sure you get well by giving you that garbage and you heal fast to get out of there so you can have some ral food to eat.
I'm easy, as long as it's vegetarian for me.

Are we ignoring chocolate? Dark chocolate is very healthy. You should have some every day along with walnuts or almonds. I do, do you?
