Regular Adderall lasts 8-12 hours, but you are talking about an XR pill. Assuming it was taken whole, you should feel effects for around 24 hours.

Actually, the effects should only last up to 12 hours on 30XR. The way the XR works, is there are 2 periods of release of the drug- one initially, and one after about 4 hours. Taking Adderall XR with anything with citrus (like orange juice) will diminish the effects to some extent. Regular Adderall only lasts for a few hours, but this may depend on your metabolism. (Thats why they may prescribe it to be taken in the morning and in the afternoon.) Adderall XR shouldnt be taken in the afternoon if you want to get to sleep at a reasonable hour. Caffeine may make the effects of the drug stronger.

It depends on many factors. Adderall IR (instant release) is advertised to last about five hours. For me it last only about three. For my friend who is taller and heavier than I, however, it kept him awake all night even when he took it at only 3pm that day. Aside from everyone's unique body and mind, what you have had to eat before you does and how much water you drink throughout the dose will affect how long the pill's effects last. Also, if you exercise on Adderall (beware of heart-related dangers) you will probably wear yourself out and the effects will seem to not last as long. Lastly, if you've never taken it before, or have a low tolerance for stimulants or all drugs, the effects will probably seem to "last" longer than advertised. Have fun and be careful.
