Icarus didn't try to fly to the sun so much, he merely "soared too high" and the sun melted his wings. Morpheus is the god of sleep.

There actually was a boy-he was a son of Helios by a nymph, or a demigod. He tried to fly the sun itself, but that was the first thing I thought of.

Icarus and Daedalus, father and son. Morpheus was the god of sleep and dreams. He didn't try to fly to the sun though, he mistakenly flew too close to the sun and melted the wax that held his wings together, and they fell apart. He and his father were trying to escape from an island. 1/28/26
