No it is two words a contraction of 'it is', no words are allowed in scrabble that need punctuation marks. 'It's' requires an apostophe.

Its is a pronoun - what's wrong with that? If your are mispelling and you mean 'it's': 1) you can't use that because it means 'it is', 2) you shouldn't play Scrabble if you can't spell.

Yes, ITS is in the Official Word List for Scrabble. ITS is a possessive pronoun. Words containing apostrophes, however, are now allowed (for instance, CAN'T, DON'T, THAT'S, etc). So ITS is ok even though IT'S would otherwise not be ok. Clear?

"It's" is a contraction of "it is," and is not allowed in Scrabble. However, "its" is correct when used in a sentence such as, "The book lost its cover." So "its" is permitted in Scrabble. For all those who find this confusing, don't feel bad -- this is probably the most common spelling error in the English language.
