  • must be leaking or going somewhere else.Did you check your water in the radiator?
  • Check for a leak in oil before you blame the dipstick. I just bought my 93 850 and am about to replace the rear main seal due to a massive leak (about 5 quarts in two hours of driving). However, you would probably notice the road getting a little slick if it's just in ten minutes driving. Make sure you wait a half hour after driving to check the dipstick, volvos take a long time to have oil return to the pan. Also make sure its the correct one. People often replace the 850 dipstick because it's a bit useless. (it tells you if theres at least one quart, but not much beyond that.)
