Hi can anyone tell me how and when to check the suspension/brakes etc fluid (LHM) ie do you check with the engine running and should it be hot or cold.Thank you.

There is no suspension fluid to check. Period. Brake fluid should be checked when the vehicle is off and cold. Look at the master cylinder and check a) colour b) viscosity c) level. Brake fluid should be changed every 2-3yrs, so checking it every few months is fine.

Thanks "geek860" from your answer you obviously do not know anything about Citroen cars and especially the Zantia as they do indeed have suspension fluid and do not have a brake master cylinder as in "normal" cars. This is because they have a "magic carpet" suspension system that is also linked to the steering and brakes as a complete hydraulic system.So thanks again for your answer but it will not help.
