I hear that changing the strings once a month would be optimal. For 7 bucks a set , the investment isn't the problem.

If you're touring you should put a new set of strings on every night before you play. It depends how often you play really. Once the strings start to lose their 'bright' tone, it's time to change.

i am a guitar player, and i would reccomend you change them every week if you play often like i do.but if you just play occasionaly (ounce, or twice a week) change them every month. if you just play around every once in a while change them every 3 months.
