  • The lifestyle part is how they live, not that they're gay. A gay "lifestyle" would be like any other lifestyle...if you go to bars, are a homebody, spend a lot of time playing sports or enjoying the outdoors, are a workaholic, sleep around a lot, are monogomus, etc...
  • that is hard to answer i think it is whatever they want it to be it is there life let they live it how they choose and how they think it is
  • LGBT people don't have a "lifestyle," they have a life, as do straight people. Thanks for pointing out the silliness of people who use such a term.
  • "gay lifestyle"....what a ridiculous term! I have a life, not a "lifestyle."
  • The same except maybe divided closet space. :)
  • Gay lifestyle is a term used by conservative homophobes to vilify gay people. When asked what gay lifestyle means most of them will only mention things that know will elicit a negative response: Drinking, drugs, promiscuity, cross-dressing, bar hopping, and orgies! They seem to neglect the fact that most of these things (with the possible exception of cross dressing) are parts of straight society as well. They never mention our compassion, charity, resilience, and tolerance.
  • I wake up, go to work, come home, cook supper. unwind by watching a little TV, surf the net a bit. pay my bills and taxes on time. go shopping, hang out with my friends whenever I can. spend quality time with my partner and our pets. that's my life...but I don't see how different it is from anybody else. the only difference is who I happen to love...
  • I think a "straight lifestyle" involves plaid flannel shirts and pictures of Elvis painted on velvet.
  • Take straight lifestyle. Replace desire for opposite sex with desire for same sex. Bake for 30 minutes and enjoy.
  • there is no lifestyle, people just usually go withnwhat theyre comfortable with
  • There's a stereotypical "gay lifestyle", but in the real world it's just a bunch of bologna. The stereotype is that it's (mostly men) about being promiscuous, and being flamboyant, while indulging in S&M sex, and only being extremely feminine. In all honesty, the only difference in being gay and being straight is the gender of the other person in your bed. Gay people want/have families, they work, they are real human beings who just are attracted to the same gender. Most people aren't the stereotype.
  • I have a life. For me, my lifestyle is activity-oriented, i.e., I like to run, walk, go to coffeehouses, read, go to punk rock shows, go see the Go-Go's play(and dance onstage with them!)...that's a lifestyle.
  • A "gay lifestyle" is any way a gay person chooses to live. There are no set standards and no prerequisites. I do not even think there is a Gay Living Manual or Gay Welcome Package.
  • Could a gay life style not be a happy life style instead as gay meant in its orignal form
  • Well, there is a flaw to generalizing any minority into one clump, and you'll run across the same dilemma with this generalization. The most basic fundamental thing to a gay lifestyle, is your sexual preference. The popular view of the gay lifestyle though is a more feminine lifestyle for a male. Of course, it isn't wise to categorize all under this one umbrella.
