First you will generally deposite money using an acceptable method, such as credit card or Netteller. Then, depending where you play, you will be issued chips or tokens or the amount you deposited will just reflect in your account balance.
From there, you open up whatever game you wish to play in and generally there will be buttons set up for placing bets. For example if you are playing poker there will be a button to raise, to fold, or to check. In roulette you can usually drag the amount you wish to place onto a certain number.
