What's the deal with Rudolph's nose? I mean glowing and red? Is this a "normal" mutation, or do I detect some genetic modification coming outa Santa's lab?

Its a screw on Christmas light. Santa found out he needs a red light to avoid planes that are flying the the same air space. Just like radio towers have red flashing lights.
