No. I came in to ask a simple question. The response was so overwhelming and and useful. It just made me so happy. And look now, 1 year later, addicted.

I came looking for an answer to a question and I stayed because I love knowledge and information and answering questions. But I found so much more, with great people, great friends and good times here:-)

I didn't have any expectations. It never crossed my mind that Answerbag was a community. I've never belonged to any online community and was unfamiliar with the idea. I had never used a Q&A site either. I found Answerbag when searching for some information on the Internet. I asked a question, then a second, and now, 10 months later, I'm still here. And I am very happy I stumbled through the doors.

I was looking for a good way to pass time - I really didn't expect to make friendships like the ones I've run across or to have a sense of community when I logged on. But then again, this site is really different and unique, and I am happy I came across it. That doesn't mean I like everyone here, but I appreciate all input and contributions that I come across, and love the respect that most of us have for each other.

I was searching for something good to replace the bad that Yahoo! Answers had become. And I found it here. And then some! I found the community here that I had wanted at Y!A, but was not allowed there. I also found a marvelous team of administrators who not only listened to us, but, amazingly, responded!! The best part was that AB hosts a wonderful array of intelligent people with varied interests, experiences and information. What a great place to be a part of!

I was new to just using a computer so I had no idea that asking one question would lead to where I am today!! I don't even know why I came back because my question was answered but the next day I did and I am so grateful! I didn't know squat about this site....just thought it was ask a question and that's it...move on. I have met the nicest people here who cared enough to share their friendship with me. They have lifted me up, given me hugs and now it's like family.

I had no idea that it was a community, that's why I was relectant to "join" because I thought AB would just send me spam or something. But I asked a few questions, and then for a few months I never really came back. But then after a few more visits I realized how cool this place was so I became a full-time participating member. The members here are nicer than I would have ever imagined.

I basically just wanted to get points at first. I had no idea I would ever become part of the community. It usually takes forever to become a part of an online community in any meaningful sense, and I had only ever done it in one place before this. But, it happened anyway. Great job.

I dint know this site even existed. While doing research i was linked to a "Question" related to my study on the results page of a search. I opened the page to find answers to the question. The question was on the largest house and I thought all the answers were wrong, so I entered my own answer. I didnt join for awhile because I didnt want anymore excess email. But after getting involved in some debates here I found it to be a great site and have enjoyed watching and being a part of the dialogue.. Thank You

I really didn't have any because I came here by accident trying to go to Yahoo!Answers after Jay died. All I wanted was to find answers to questions that have no answers. I had no idea I would find a place with so many people I could relate too and that I would feel so at home anywhere on a computer like I do here.

My son suggested I join this site early on..I did, but at that time believed it to be basically an "ask a question that has one correct answer and wait for others to respond". So I did that for about a year or so..then I got really active in April of 2007 when I discovered that questions needn't be cut-and-dried with one-size-fits-all answers..questions could be whimsical and some of the AB respondents responded very well to that...once I discovered that to be the case, I was hooked and spending time on AB is one of my favorite things..so this is definitely a case of serendipity striking yet again in my life! :)

When I stumbled on to this site by accident, I simply thought it would seem interesting. Sure I was expecting to join a community just not something this big! Now this place is just a normal part my online living.
