  • 925 is british standard silver. if it looks like gold it'll probably need a good polish, but trust me its silver! 750 is gold, it can be either white gold, yellow gold, not sure about rose gold though. it means that theres 750 particles of gold in the alloy metal. and 925 silver particles in the silver alloy. hope this helps. and don't throw it away even if they're tiny earings, you can seel them as scrap metal to certain jewellers
  • 750 is usually a European mark for 18kt gold as the 750 parts of 1000 or 3/4th 24kt is what the number means. 585 marks means 14kt and 417 is 10kt------now 925 is usually a SILVER mark meaning that the piece is sterling silver.....?
