  • 925 is not gold at all, the material is actually sterling silver. If it appears golden in color..... it is dipped for a cheap way to give the appearance. Gold will have 10k, 14k, 18k, 24k etc. prominently engraved as it is worth exponentially more. Remember, there is white gold that can be undersold as silver if not marked correctly, white gold that must be differentiated from the more expensive platinum; thus the markings.

  • Hello, I am alergic to fake gold even silver that has been covered in gold. I can only wear 10k 14k 24k, now I have a piece that has the number 925. No problem, no reaction on skin. I think that 925 is real gold.
