    Yazdanism is actually the name applied collectively to 3 branches of the same religion that are practiced among the Kurdish people. The three sects are the Alevi, Yarsani, and Yazidi. The religion is quite ancient and, while monotheistic in nature, posits a belief in 7 great angelic powers who fight for good against a like number of negative powers. This is why the religion is also known as the "Cult of Angels." Reincarnation is also one of the tenets of Yazdanism.
