-
they put this question in the wrong catorgoory
-
of course its all right. i actually just got in an argument with the boyfriend tonight about him using that word. more people should get offended and not use that word or other words like it.
-
I don't like to hear it used!
-
Anyone who isn't offended by it is a bit off or plainly racist. I don't believe in the 'Black people can use it all they want' junk. It's a slur, it should be forgotten.
-
Sorry, But No. Many black people use it on a regular basis. Now you can get offended if some one calls you one, because the deffination of the word is "ignorant Person" but if someone uses the word not directed at you. than let it go, And I am tired of hearing black people say that they can use the word but white peole can't, #1 we have freedom of speech. and #2 there is no such thing as a word that is ok for one person and not ok for someone else. And honestly I suggest not being offended at all. Because the only reason that it is a "Bad Word" is because socitey gives it the power to offend. If we all just realize that it is just another word from the dictionary than we can all get on with our lifes.

It offends me.
-
Yeah, but the thing is, Nigger, sounds like you're a racist, calling a black person that. Thing is, do you think it's offensive if you hear Niggah instead? I'm serious. The first one is more offensive than the second one.
-
not if it is used in jester.
-
Nobody has the right not to be offended.
-
Yeah, as it is an insulting term.
-
Yes. I do too.
-
I don't care for the word.
-
It raises my dander!!! I don't care what race you are, it is still a vulgar. I hate any kind of vulgarity.
-
hell yes and you shouldnt have to put up with it
-
It fine if you get offended. I don't like to hear it from anyone. I'm not of the thought that a bad word loses it's power if you use it. It can have a life of it's own and still hurts many people.
-
I checked a site out before for the meaning on this word and it's short for an african man who is from nigeria. So why do people think it's racist? I for one will say it if the situation arises but to be honest I think calling someone a cunt is more offensive.
-
I get offended and I know many people that do. Everyone has the right to be offended. The words meaning/roots (the way it was used), as far as I'm concerned, is racist. There's too much history (past and present)in the word for it to be used as a joke or a regular word.
