You can cash it at the bank that the check is drawn on or if that is not possible most check cashing places charge 2 to 3 percent of the check. It would probably be a good idea to get an account of your own so you dont run into this problem again! :)

what bank is it drawn on? you cant just take it to any bank and have them cash it... you need to look at the check and see the name of the bank on it then take it to that bank... usually the fee for a non account holder is 5-10 dollars. check cashing places are more expensive usually, but they also arent as stringent on checking your id.

It should only be either $2.30 or $4.60. Most places only take 1 or 2%. But if you cash it at the bank that it is drawn on (like if it a wachovia check) than they don't take anything.
