Yes, once - to buy a pair of fake-fur covered handcuffs for a bachelorette party. (she loved them) No, I wasn't embarrassed, but I think I embarrassed my [then] fiance with all my "what the hell is this for?," "are you kidding me?," where are you supposed to use that?," questions. *grins*

I visit places like Ann Summers and Myla all the time and don't find it remotely embarrassing - I think the high street sex chains have become so commonplace now that very few people are embarrassed going in. I've visited slightly more hardcore places occasionally, and did feel a little bit paranoid - I worried that the counter staff thought I didn't look like I knew what I was doing.

I was embarassed the first time, but not after. After all, anybody who sees you in there has gone in themselves, so.... Everybody has sex, pretty much, so there's nothing to be embarassed about. I might hide a few of my parcels on the way out though, just because nobody needs to know THAT much information about me! Mail order is a big help, for people who are too embarassed to go to a store. There are some GREAT stores online that have everything you need and ship in plain brown packages.

love the sex shops and never get embarrassed at all ...amazing places and sooo funny what you can find in them ...I love chatting to other people in them ...some go bright red and get out the store as quick as they can ....but its just easier now to have what you want sent by mail or order it on line ... saves all the stares and being looked at down other peoples noses as you enter or leave the shop
