Eagle Plains, Yukon Teritorries in the Canadian Arctic, mid-summer ... the sun just goes around in circles and does not set, and the plants grow so fast you can actually watch them get taller ... every few hours, for about a week, a different flower will struggle to get a ½ inch above the rest, then bloom, and the whole plains changes colour in a wave. For eight months of the year, it is so cold you can drive on the frozen rivers, but the short summers are absolutely amazing.

The Northern Lights, but only second hand..loved the show "Northern Exposure" and that's where I saw them. :)
