Has anybody heard of, read, or seen the Fruits Basket manga/anime series?

Yes, and I highly recommend that you read the manga if you haven't read it. In my opinion the the anime is "ok" if you haven't read the manga, but don't watch it in English because the voice acting is not the best. Subtitles are better. The manga also has a very satisfying ending...well, I guess that depends on your preferences. Anyways,it's a well planned and thought out series with good character development.

yeah, i've watched the entire series and read quite a few of the manga novels......I personally like the manga better, but I think both have good stories and are quite well done. Its a very unique story, but I really enjoyed it!!! Its a great series!

i like it alot i got the whole series, i just only got the last volume to watch, i'm trying to keep it around for a while :) actually i'll probably watch it again before i see the last couple of episodes. I have not read the manga however.

My best friend and her boyfriend are hooked on it, but im not really into it. My best friend has a couple of the stuffed replicas that her bf gave her. Other than that I don't know too much about it.

i love the manga (i'm a little addicted...) i think the anime is ok, but of course it doesn't have one of my favorite characters, so that does piss me off quite a bit... either way, i do recomend the manga, if you haven't already read it

ive read the manga and watched the anime. the manga is one of the most amazing manga i have ever read! its soo cute and hilarious lol...so when i saw the anime, it thoroughly disappointed me, they cut it off when kyo turned into his true self...and that was it! the manga artist had some problems with the producer of the anime and wouldnt allow him to make the rest of the anime(they didnt get along too well, so i have read) so they ended it there with many unanswered questions to the people who havent read the manga...and as for the people who had read it, im sure they were just as disappointed as i was....it was really good until it got cut short (plus some minor details got left out of the anime...) so for everyone who is looking into fruits basket, do yourself a favor and read the manga before you watch the anime lol they have it for free online at this website: http://www.mangahut.com/manga/Fruits+Basket

Yep. the book is really good, but the anime is pretty disappointing, they cut short many parts and the ending was just left hanging! (if i remeber correctly) if you want to follow the series, i suggest you read the manga:)
