The entire universe is in a state of entropy. This means that everything is constantly changing, change is both inevitable and unavoidable. Nothing stays the same, in fact trying to remain the same and unchanged is an impossibility. Since things can't gain force, you can tie a pendulum to a ceiling beam, pull it back till it's at your face, and let go... if you don't move, it won't hit you. We did it in my physics class. the subject was a weenie and ducked, though.
