Yes, magazines can be recycled with newspapers, if only more of us would do it.
*The question was whether they could be recycled with newspapers. The answer is yes. Now I do understand that some public utilities do have some exclusions placed on their particular recycling program, but these have to do with contractual agreements and not the ability to recycle certain products.

Isn't there a way that the magazines could be re-used before recycling. I got 7 free subscriptions and really don't want to throw them away (recycle them). Does anyone know of any organizations that can use them?

Not true in all places. Where I used to live we couldn't even mix any shiny Sunday ads w/papers.Better check first!
