Actually, studies show the opposite. Most recently, the Guttmacher Institute released a study of premarital sex rates since the 1950's. The rate of premarital sex has been virtually unchanged - it was high to begin with! http://www.guttmacher.org/media/nr/2006/12/19/index.html The paper, published in Public Health Reports, shows that 82% of people born in the 1940's had premarital sex by age 30. Those born in the 1950's had premarital sex by age 30 at a rate of 91%, and it's been constant since then. http://www.publichealthreports.org/userfiles/122_1/12_PHR122-1_73-78.pdf What has FALLEN since the 1950's is the teenage pregnancy rate. The rate in the 1950's was much, much higher than it is today. (I attached a chart demonstrating the dramatic fall) The biggest change is that people get married an average of five years later than they did in 1950, and some people are forgoing marriage altogether. So although sexual behavior has not changed in this time, people aren't marrying as young or as often.
