  • Pay the fee to have papers legally served in the county where he lives. This is not a "do it yourself" project.
  • Have the lawyer contact his commanding officer at the miltary base
  • Refusing to sign what? You don't have to sign anything when you are served. Once you file the proof of service with the court, they will set a trial date. If he doesn't appear, you get a default judgment. The only time someone has to agree to sign is if they are agreeing to waive service, or if they are agreeing to settlement.
  • Tell her to go to his Commanding Officer. I do know that when I was getting a divorce, the military would only provide a lawyer for one of us; of course it was going to be him. He still has to provide for her...he is still married to her.
