Height is determined primarily by neck (cervical) length, trunk length (vertebral column running from shoulder to pelvis) and the lengths of one's leg bones (femur and tibia). Their sizes and relative proportions are genetically determined. Women have longer and wider pelvis than men to accommodate for child birth. Some people are born with a short trunk and relatively long legs, while others have a long trunk and relatively short legs. There are others like you who are born with a short trunk and short legs. All are normal.
