  • Absolutely. Your body is like an engine. The better condition you keep it in the longer it will last.
  • Recent studies (can't remember where I saw this) have concluded; on average, with all other things being equal, people who exercise 3 days a week live approximately 6 months longer than thoses who don't.
  • I am not exactly sure, but my grandparents are 86 and 92 years old and very active and strong. They walk and exercise alot, and are in great shape. Exercise could have contributed to their long lives.
  • The human body requires high maintenance in order to maintain healthiness. Inside of our bodies age just like the outside, so it is important to keep everything in tact. Granted, the wrinkles will still come, but we can keep those organs nice and strong with exercise.
  • This answer is not exactly scientific, but an author was interviewing people who have reached the age of 100, and made an interesting connection. They all seemed to have lived on the second or third floor for most of their lives forcing them to walk up and downstairs every day.
  • I have exercising for years and I can answer that the answer is propably yes but for sure is will make you live better.
  • Come on...think about it! The answer could be yes or no. If you go running and then smoke two packs of cigarettes, you probably won't live too long. But, if you exercise and strengthen your heart, you are less likely to die from heart failure. All exercise strengthens muscles. By stressing the muscles the muscle rebuilds and is stronger. This doesn't mean you are immune from cancer and disease. Through exercise you are increasing the efficiency of the muscles. You are burning calories when exercising, but if you are not over weight, this has no benefit to prolong life. The answer to a long life is just what the experts have listed...good genes, proper diet, exercise, weight control, and enjoyment. Make your life rewarding and you will enjoy it.
