Question

Help answer this question below.

The skin on my hands and lower arms is red, very dry, and flaky and it hurts. I've tried lotions and hand crèmes but they only make it hurt worse. Can I try something else, or make it go away?

Try a handcream called Uremal 20. It burns a little when you put it on but it works.

it sounds like eczema, which is an autoimmune condition usually aggravated by allergies. you can try steroid creams, hydrocortisone, etc, and it's good to explore one's diet and get allergy testing done too. if you can find the culprit and eliminate it, it will make your skin much happier.

  • Sounds like Eczema , I have it. The only lotion that every worked for me was nutrogen hand cream. i would just gob that on, and then wrap my arms in an ace bandage. It worked well. However, if you do have eczema, a doctor could probably prescribe a cream that would be just as effective.
