I have never been on yahoo answers, and i have heard a lot of negative things about it on here, if i were to join would i hear negative things about AB on there?

• Hmmmm. I like Y!A in the sense that you're not really dependent on other users for points (we earn 2 points instantly there the moment we answer a question, don't we?). On AB, you can be a Nobel Peace Prize winner and receive no points at all for your answers and questions.
  
  But AB is much better because there are fewer people here who are annoying. Maybe because this site has fewer users compared to Y!A.

• Patti, that was my biggest problem with Y!A. We were not allowed to communicate beyond single, non-communicative answers. It has no soul! Ideas were not discussed. You couldn't keep at a subject until you understood, or made your point. You couldn't form friendships like here. It was like an really bad encyclopedia with cutsie decorations and no real purpose. They began to cater to the preteens and it began a very steep slide into crappiness. I am so glad to have found AB. Now, this site has SOUL!

• oh, no, I'm not denying the amount of trolls and lack of nice people, I love AB. I drifted between them a while ago, trying to decide which one is better.
