I think it can go either way. If a guy likes a girl, he'll ask her out. If a girl likes a guy she'll ask him out. It's basically a "who gets there first" game.

Either way is good. I think it's sexy as hell when a woman takes the initiative like that.

I think that either way is acceptable in today's society, we can all thank the feminist movement for that one! ;) I've only ever had one female ask me out and I didn't think anything less of her, I was thrilled! I reckon go for it! Best of luck ;)

Fantastic question... I'm old school and believe that the man should ask out the woman. I am a man and would love to be asked out, don't get me wrong it is so sexy if you are into the woman. I have come to the conclusion that women don't handle rejection that well and if the man she asks out isn't interested it can become very awkward for both. Also, some, not all, may label the woman -whatever- for being aggressive. I am all for women's rights, but, in this case I believe it should be left up to the man.

i dont have the courage to ask a man i like out. he he normally, i'd let them know i was interested, but i think it'd be up to them to carry on as i'm not that confident lol :-D

well, I do not see anything wrong with telling somebody how you feel about them. It is then up to them to take it or reject it.

Women should ask men out whenever possible. The simple fact of the matter is that women's signals are easy to miss (some are downright obscure), so we assume women aren't interested since we're not getting signals we actually notice. What we notice is "Hey, let's go out for coffee." We also notice deliberate physical contact. We don't notice which way your feet are pointing or if you're dangling your shoe off your foot, or if your lipstick is redder than usual. We don't notice your sly sidelong glances. We don't notice if you're laughing at our jokes more than usual. We might notice you playing with your earrings as a sign of interest, but that's about the extent of it. Even if you just hang around us, that's not enough. We need definite, literal input. Asking us out is the best way to give us that.

It sure feels nice when they do. It is a switch in the traditional roles, but just as it must be a bit of a buzz for a woman to know that she is of interest to someone, so too is it for a guy.
