I wish i knew...for some reason, and I'll be honest...when i went off to school, that's all i was about...i wasn't about a relationship, just about getting laid and having a good time...but once i came back...i realized i had failed to make lasting relationships with the guys...most of them i'm actually still friends with, and they know i don't sleep around anymore...but i don't see how it happened.

When people weren't educated the it's not all about sex. Some of us youngens still believe dates aren't about sex but most kids think sex is no big deal and just some fun. Also explains the increase in teenage birth rates.

I never had sex on a date, geez... if people do that.. well... that is their business. Dating to me is getting to know someone to see if they would make a suitable marriage partner.

It always was. If not why go out with a guy instead of your female friends who have tons in common with you? Just like marriage is about having kids and joining financial resources- with sex keeping it all stable. There is a trend of Oprah neurosis that sex is not good this is crap! sex is the building block of society- the foundation of love without sex evil and violence would destroy the world

Dating is not about sex. If anything, the person you date makes it about sex. You just need to know what you get yourself into first, that's why you get to know the person before you date them. I know with my bf it was never about sex when we were going out. We didnt have it until about almost half a year into our relationship. And it's not anything that happens all the time either, which i'm glad, becuase dating/or being in a relationship is about learning how to live with someone who might eventually be your spouse. One needs to know what kind of person they are and not just how good in bed they are.
