  • A whole heck of a lot!! If it were a tame tarauntala (one that's not apt to bite) I would be more likely to do it. It would depend on how scary the spider was that they wanted me to hold. Maybe start at 5k and work up from there.
  • hmmm, how much could iget... not an arachnaphobe.. but i can play one fer money!
  • Not much, as much as i could get out of you? I've done it before. We used to have them all over our place in California. They come out and walk around about August and Sept. when it's really hot weather. The males go looking for females. You even get to recognizing some of them in their routine walks.
  • If any of you were real arachnaphobics you wouldn't do it for any $$!!! Personlly, if I even see the tiniest spider i start crying silently, i'm practically frozen with fear and i start to hyperventalate. Then even when its dead i still feel like theres millions of spiders crawling all over me. One time there was a big spider on the outside of a window far from me and I actually stopped breathing for a bit. All this to say, don't answer the question directed to arachnaphobics when you're not one.
  • I'm not arachnophobic so I'm cheap: I'd hold a tarantula for about $100. ;) I wouldn't hold a funnel web spider for ANY amount of money.
  • there is not enough money in the world that would make me hold a spider
  • I am a true arachnophobic and you could not pay me enough to hold a spider. I refuse to hold a tarantula. I refuse to even look at them unless of course I have to because I am somewhere where they happen to be which has happened and I have had to either throw up or run away shaking and crying. No amount of money could make me compromise the way I feel. Infact if I had the choice between a ghost haunting me every night and having to touch a tarantula. I would choose the haunting. Ghosts are nothing compared to that. A true Arachnophobic would probably not hold one unless you gave them a billion dollars and even then I would call those people the brave ones. Money is not that important to me.
