Our wedding cake was a cheesecake and we did the freezing it for our first anniversary thing. It was edible but that's about the most I can say, I wouldn't recommend freezing it for more than a couple of weeks....

You can freeze them if well wrapped and no decorations on top for 2-4 weeks and thaw them in the refrigerator.

You can freeze them, but not for more than about 3 weeks tops.

Depending what type of cheesecakes you are trying to store, I recommended the most is 2 weeks (if you are not adding any additives that prevent expiry). Also, when you store, you may want to store it properly in a plastic cake casing/ box or at least cover it with some aluminum foil. That will help prevent the air in the fridge to seep into the cake and "dry up" the cake faster.
