  • Because his tweezers got tired.
  • I question that myself. There is not a reason why one should follow a silly practice like this.
  • I think that most men probably don't have a choice in the matter. Aren't most circumcisions done when men are babies? I think parents have their sons circumsized just because it's kind of become the norm. *shrug*
  • Cause they are too young and non-verbal to shout "BACK AWAY FROM THE PENIS!", in the hospital when they are born.
  • I always thought the reasoning behind it was, "If it can't be bigger, at least it can be cuter."

  • Joke answer: So they don't punch themselves in the face while masturbating. My reason: I had no choice, it was performed when I was a baby. Reasons I've heard: Religious beliefs, to prevent infections (not proven from what I've heard)
  • I don't think most men had a choice...except maybe for the Dutch in WWII who voluntarily underwent the operation to protect the Jewish men who were hiding in their community...So the Nazi's couldn't tell by that criteria. BTW I think this is really something great to be said of the Dutch people.
  • I don't think most men do if they weren't already at birth. Reasons could be problems with the prepuce being too tight, which is rare. There is also a procedure called "partial circ.", which simply loosens the prepuce. It should be able to be retracted easily, for hygiene and during sex.
  • Nobody chooses circumcision , it's something that done to them as infants when they have no choice. Men that grow up intact rarely choose to be circumcised, because there just no reason for it , and many reasons not to consider it.
  • My hubby was not circumcised and he has no problems...I hear that men that are circumcised have less censation then the men that are'nt!
  • Their parents made the choice. No guy would put THAT under a scalpel
  • it was not my choice
  • my sex education teacher said that while some boys are infants, the mothers choose to have them circumcised while their babies so they don't have to clean the inside of it. which is lazy, i think. then she went on to say it's for religious reasons, and back in the day, doctors thought that the foreskin would cause infections. then she said that it doesn't cause infections. so really... they don't have the choice. it's their parent's choice, or their religious beliefs.
  • it look a hell of a lot better then uncircumsized dicks
  • Usually due to Religion or for Health reasons
  • I had no idea that circumcision was in the Bible. I was reading and was like what?
  • The cast majority of circumcised men were cut because their parents insisted on it, or (in the case of many USA Baby Boomers), the maternity ward in which they were born had a "routine circumcision policy." We still do not know why most American doctors and parents became convinced last century that the foreskin was a mistake of nature. Continental Europe never went for this. England, Canada, and Australia have all largely walked away from routine circ.
  • Don't recall anybody askin' my permission yo...:)
  • Usually for hygenic reasons, but my fiancee was not cut. And should I have a male baby, he will not be cut. I mean, if you teach the child to wash under the foreskin, he can keep it and be fine.
  • Man get circumcised becouse as babys man have to much skin on there d?@ks so as babys the doctor will cut the skin off so the d?@k wont have skin hanging off it when the man is older but theres a down side to the cuting off of the skin the man will lose a one inc or two.
  • There is no single reason men choose to get circumcised as adults. Twenty-eight years ago, I chose to get circumcised because of a recurring herpes infection of the prepuce and if I got married, I did not want to take a chance and infect my wife. When I did get mnarried, my wife has been afford protection again a herpes infection by my decision to get circumcised. Circumcision in this case, does not guarantee a cure. It depends on the location and degree of infected area as to whether circumcision will offer a possible cure.
  • I have no idea but Im sure glad I was. Off with their little heads I say.
  • To remove the foreskin is a requirement in certain faiths. Similar type is prescribed for the females as well.
  • Anyone converting to Judaism, at whatever age, voluntarily submits to circumcision as a sign of their comittment to God. Cicrumcision also helps with cleanliness, and exposes the glans so that it gradually becomes less sensitive. This goes a long, long way toward preventing premature ejaculation, and helping insure longer, more satisfying sex for the partners of circumcised men. No. I am not kidding. : P
  • Because they too lazy to pull back their foreskins and wash properly?
  • I watched a baby have this done and the doctor said it's 100% cosmetic and there's no real reason for it. However I know from my studies that there are certain disorders like phimosis which is the tightening of the foreskin around the head of the penis which causes dysuria or other related problems. It's also easier to keep better hygiene because smegma doesn't get trapped up in there.
  • I am technically uncircumcised, yet every doctor who has examined me thinks I am. Ah; the blessings of being born with a naturally short foreskin.
  • Actually, men don't usually do it. It is done without their permission when they are born or shortly after.
  • ............because WOMEN WILL GRAB ANYTHING WITH 20% OFF
  • I was not circumcised at birth, yet was blessed with a naturally short foreskin. It does not normally cover the head of my penis. Almost every doctor who has examined me thinks I have been circumcised, but mother nature did the job.
  • thank goodness they do...a lot neater and cleaner like tht.
  • foreskin is where the devil lives.
  • Mostly for cleanliness purposes.
  • Many parents got their babies circumcised bc they thought an uncircucised penis would get infected more. Now I think most do it bc it would look super weird if it wasn't bc it's the norm to have it done. Most women these days would run if they saw an uncircumsized penis. Best leave that decision alone guys.
  • My parents got me cut when I was a babe but not my brother 7 years later, with I was whole. My son is 14 months and intact as he should be.
  • Cleaner, neater, looks better.
  • Easy: people are sheep! The same answer works for most other fucked up things people do.
  • I have had my short foreskin since I was born, and I don't regret it one bit. My parents chose not to have me cut at birth and I appreciate that. My foreskin is short, and never completely covers the head of my penis. I'm comfortable with that, and every doctor who has examined me thinks I was circumcised. I can not think what it would be like having the head of my penis exposed all the time. My foreskin never completely covers my glans.
  • They usually don't. It's painful. It's parents who mutilate their baby boys.
  • The first answer usually seems to be for either (1) health reasons (cleanliness) or (2) religous reasons. There must be other reasons regarding tribal customs, as with some African peoples.
  • As my dad told me, "Trust me boy, the girls will dig it"
  • i think it,s mostly about religious reasons.
  • they don't,they're parents decide to dis-figuer them when they are young
  • Psychopathy.
  • It is a custom so ancient that nobody REALLY knows why it started.
  • Didn't have a choice my parents made it for me. Trust me I would have chosen to remain intact. from what I have read they snip off some of the most sensitive parts. I think thats the equivalent of what some consider female mutilations in other parts of the world. But hey it sais to do it in an old book so it must be good right?
