  • Yes, the blizzard of 1978 in Ohio. Snow drifted 10, 12 feet deep. Cars abandoned beside the road completely covered. Then National Guard, came in big snowplows and hit some of them, they couldn't see them. Stuck at home for days.
  • Yes, I will never forget the "storm of the century" It hit the east coast of the US in March of 1993. We received up to 36" of snow in upstate NY. We could not get to a store for three days, but we were prepared. The National Guard was called in to help clear the roads, and we had drifts up to ten feet high!! Everything was cancelled for over a week, in our area. It is something I will never forget!! Look→ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_of_the_Century_(1993)
  • We don't exactly have blizzards in south louisiana, but when we do get snow everything shuts down. Even the interstate and bridges are closed. Once in college, I went camping with my boyfriend and it snowed. I'm not sure why, but we had taken all our clothes off and when we woke up it had snowed. We couldn't find our clothes. I was cold and shivering, so we had to spend most of the day in our sleeping bag until our friends showed up with our clothes they had stolen.
