then you have never seen chinese eaten before.

America is a land dominated by immigrants. It's related to the "I was here first" syndrome.
-
Racism knows no boundaries. Chinese people can be just as racist as Americans. We do not hold the monopoly racism. Chinese are racist against Japanese and Koreans. All peoples are subject to the same ignorances when it comes to "us against them". We are all capable of singling out groups that we are unfamiliar with or that we see as a threat to our way of life.
-
Ha! I dare you to go up to any Chinese person and call them Japanese. I dare you. Watch how they explode. Why? Because there are racist Chinese people, Black people, White people, Whatever. They exist it's that simple. Secondly, How can you make such a HUGE generalization about 320 million people? Do you personally know each and every person in America? No really do you? Do you know me? Do you know every answerbagger from the US? No? Then I would suggest you ask yourself why your so prone to generalize against Americans :).

Really racism is only in America? Humm... so in the 1930-40's Germans where not racist? What about apartheid that lasted up until 1994? There is discrimination all over the place in every country. Some more blatantly obvious compared to others. I would say there are individuals that or one way and others look at it differently.
-
Everyone from everywhere is racist. I don't know why wouldn't realize that.
-
Asian Americans constitute only 5% of the U.S. population. The majority of Americans never get to meet or know a Chinese person except maybe at a Chinese restaurant. I have read news report that American exchange students in China have been the target of racism.
-
Your question in its self is racist. nice work
-
Then you obviously haven't been paying attention, racism occurs across all ethnicities, religions and cultures. American's didn't invent racism nor are they the only ones to perpetuate it.
-
The U.S. has dealt with more race relations problems, including racism due to the fact that there is a wider array of ethnic backgrounds in the U.S. than probably any other country ever. Great strides have been made toward equality for all. People of many different ethnicities have been elected to public office. Any person of any race, creed or color is free to start their own business and succeed to the best of their abilities. All people are allowed to speak freely and it is illegal to base employment, education, and many other things solely on race. This diversity is a strengh, not a weakness. We have come a long way. If you think the Chinese are not racist you need to talk to a Tibetan. http://www.tibet.com/Humanrights/HumanRights97/hr97-7.html

That's not entirely true. I have encountered some racist Chinese, for example. They are just not as vocal or obvious about it. I think that it is the human race that is racist.
-
We had organized slavery here for almost 150 years. Put that together with a healthy inflated ego and presto.
-
Everyone is prone to racism... the Chinese are no exception. I, literally, cannot think of a single race, ethnicity, or nationality that does not fall to this dread disease. I know that I would not want to live in Romania. I was told of the racism over there towards the Rromani and have faced many racist Romanians online (plus some really nice ones) and, well, no thankyou.
-
I don't know about Chinese, but Japanese are often very racist toward Koreans. And Japanese tend to portray black people in Magna and Anime a very stereotyped and unflattering light. Plus, Magna and Anime are filled with big-breasted dumb blond women as well. While America has more of a history of overt obvious racism, it still exists in every culture.

i think its down to the news and media that most americans are exposed to, they are given a much more opinionated view of the world than say british news. Also the fact they are the worlds largest super power and know it may make them more prone to ideas of supremicy and racism?
-
Americans are prone to opinions. I've never encountered one from a Chinese before... They have state sponsored opinions! lol Actually, I think racism can be found in every race, and also tolerance. (At least in the races that have survived.) Without racism, we might not learn tolerance.
-
American natives are indeed racist, I would agree. Try to carry your paleface to an indian hospital and they will turn you away. Where I draw the line on your statement (it's not really a question, but a fraudulent political rant) is that the Chinese are not racists. Their society was totally closed to foreigners for many centuries due to an elitist race bias. Had it not been for the Mongols invading and opening the silk route and later the Europeans (forcing by act of war)the opium trade, China would still be a closed society, and you wouldn't even have a clue there was such a thing as a Chinese, unless you are a Chinese, are you?
-
well, not all of them, but those who are? i really hate them, these people do not know a thing about the world.
