Well, I'm not sure I've seen him in a very serious role, but for reference, I liked him much better in 'Big Daddy' than in 'Click'.
-
Funny roles, give me Sandler in Billy Madison anyday and I'll crack up.
-
He's gotta be funny. I can't stand seeing him serious and he doesn't play the part too well.
-
He shines in funny roles, that is his niche.

I would have to say that I really like adam sandler in all of his roles but im much more of a comedy person so of course im going to enjoy the movies where he is playing the funny guy. A movie that I would consider him to be serious was probably Spanglish and I quite enjoyed that, I didnt feel his acting wasnt good at all. Although because he is renouned so much for being the funny guy its something that I came to expect of him and when he was serious it was kind of new and unfamiliar. That is usually why people dont enjoy the movies where he is being serious. Hope this has given you some insight. kimmyj

to me he is the same person whether it's a serious role or a funny one, i really don't like him and i think he is one of the worst actors.

I love all his movies. I love comedies, and he is a comedic actor, but even in movies that aren't technically comedies (Punch Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, etc.) there is humor in his characters.
-
Funny roles. They're hilarious. He always provides some sort of comic relief and acts so freakin' silly.
-
I have only seen him in funny roles and that's what I enjoy.
-
Usually he tends to be a romantic comedy star so most of his roles are mostly funny with a light tinge of seriousness involved with them and this fits him to a tee.
-
I like him in comic roles.
