My brother was asking me this morning whether, if they were trained up and tame, if i would take a pet kangaroo over a boa constrictor. That said, probably a tiger, or one of the smaller large cats. they're all so beautiful. Sometimes you can find housecats with snow leopard-like markings, I just doubt i can find one at a rescue when I have my own house.

On the one hand, I like and admire the Bengal Tiger, but my small apartment would not be good for them, and they eat more than I could afford ... so how about some of the very venomous snakes, like the King Cobra, a few of them would make excellent guards (if they could be domesticated AND trained), and they eat & drink very little.

Southern flying squirrels, a little known animal though common in southern hardwood forest. My wife and I raised three orphans to adult hood. They were kept in a large cage on our boxed in back porch and we cared for them carefully, nest boxes, proper nutrition, and plenty of room to play. They lived at least ten years while we had them then we donated them to a large zoo and as far as I know were still living long after wards
