Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 96 Blazer (4.3 v6 auto) that seems to be stuck in 1st gear (reverses fine). It revs high, however does not exceed around 25kms. Would this be a blown transmission or a detched cable?

Most likley causes in service manual point to internal transmission problems. Unless you want to tear into the trans yourself, it's time for the shop.
